Demand for certain sneakers can be quite high, while inventory is often very low. Resellers with sneakers bots make the experience even harder, purchasing multiple pairs of shoes before real customers like you and I can buy our size. To combat this, we here at SoleSavy have created a strategy called “The Pre-Cart Method.”

In this course, you’ll learn how SoleSavy’s pre-cart method will significantly improve your chances of beating the bots and buying the shoes you want by decreasing your wait times, optimizing your browser, and much more.

Part 1 - What is Anti-bot & The Pre-cart Method?

In this video Nate, one of SoleSavy Community Leaders and pre-cart experts will introduce the basics of SoleSavy’s Pre-cart method and how Shopify's anti-bot technology works.

Part 2 - How to Prepare for a Release

In Part 2, you’ll become familiar with all the key steps that make up the pre-cart method and how to prepare your browsers so that it's optimized for speed when you're checking out at release time.

Summary:

  1. Use Google Chrome as your browser

  2. Turn off or remove your Chrome extensions. This includes VPNs, adblockers, firewalls, or any other extension. These can conflict with the queue and cause errors during a release.

  3. Create a new Chrome profile. If you don’t want to turn off your extensions before every big release, then you’ll want to create a new Chrome profile meant just for online shopping. This profile will be of any extra, unnecessary features mentioned in Step 2 above. You can add a new profile using any open Chrome tab. You don’t have to create a new Gmail account, although we recommend it. Learn more here.

  4. Log into your Gmail account: To have easier reCAPTHCA puzzles, stay logged into your Gmail account. This is because the CAPTCHA services reCAPTCHA is created by Google.

  5. Clear your cookies: Before a release, you should always clear your browser’s cookies and cache for “All-Time”. This will prevent you from facing errors such as waiting in queues multiple times.

  6. Set up Auto-Fill: Autofill is an easy to use tool included in Google Chrome which automatically enters your shipping and billing information for you. Ideally, you should have your shipping address, billing address, and credit card information all saved in AutoFill. Learn more here.

  7. Pick your payment method

Part 3 - The Pre-Cart Method: Step-by-Step

Now that all your pre-release prep is done, it’s time to learn the Pre-Cart Method. The Pre-Cart Method is a trick that involves adding a dummy item to your cart a few minutes before the release time (hence the term “Pre-Cart”) to skip the queue system and checkout your sneakers quickly.

  4. log into site
