What is it & how does it work?
This new feature prevents shoes being listed at high resell prices on direct buys
When listing a shoe for available for sale at a “Buy Now” price, users will only be able to list the shoe up to 20% over retail price of that shoe (based on the retail MSRP in the sneaker database)
This 20% above retail threshold is to account for members to recoup additional expenses (i.e. taxes & shipping) on top of the retail price of a shoe
What about shoes I paid resell pricing on, that I want to list for sale?
List these shoes as “open to trades or offers”
You can utilize the “Seller notes” section to inform potential buyers on the amount you paid and/or an amount you’re looking to get on these shoes
Users can also leverage in-app messaging to negotiate pricing on pairs listed
Receipt/proof of purchase will not be required, however this will only help transactions when provided
What should I do about my “hyped up” shoes that I don't know what I should value them at?
List these shoes as “open to trades or offers”
Put your preference (trade ideas or cash amount you’re looking for) in the seller notes to educate other members on what you may want for these valuable shoes
Utilize in-app messaging to negotiate deals on shoes
What if the shoes I'm trying to list for the taxes and shipping exceed the 20% threshold (i.e. bought from an international market)?
List these shoes as “open to trades or offers”
List the total amount in seller notes to inform other members on the total price you’re looking to get for the shoes
Utilize in-app messaging to negotiate deals on shoes
What if the shoe I want to list has the incorrect retail price in COLLECT?
