In this course, you will learn the pre-carting method for Jimmy Jazz. This method is the same as the standard pre-cart method when it comes to preparing your pre-cart, those steps can be found below.
Timeline Breakdown for the pre-cart method step by step:
The following steps will assume a 10 am EST release and will give you a timeline for when you should be completing each step.
9:30 - 9:35 | Delete browser cache and cookies |
9:35 - 9:40 | Login to any Google based services (i.e Gmail, YouTube, etc..) |
9:40 - 9:45 | Login to jimmyjazz.com |
9:45 - 9:50 | Find dummy item (usually something cheap like shoe wipes or socks, but it can be anything that is in stock on the site) and add it to cart.
Once you have your dummy item in cart in Tab1, go to #anncouncments_releases and find the Add To Cart (ATC) links. It will look something like the image below.
From here, right click on your size and copy the link. Once you have done so, open Tab2 and go to jimmyjazz.com/cart. From here, you should see your dummy item in cart. Bookmark this page and edit the bookmark with your ATC link. The ATC link will look like the link below.
From here, go back to Tab1 and focus on getting into queue.
|
9:50 - 9:57 | GET IN TO QUEUE. Keep in mind that the queue is usually active about 3 to 5 minutes before a release.
A member of our staff will usually post in #announcements-releases when the queue for a particular site is live. When you see this, click ‘checkout’ to see if you can get into the queue. If you see the shipping information screen instead, then that means the queue is not live yet. If that is the case, press back, wait a few seconds, and try again until you see the queue screen.
Keep in mind that the queue is not something that is physically turned on, but rather automated based on the traffic on any particular website. It is possible that you do not get a queue, at which point you proceed with the pre-cart method as normal. |
9:57-9:58 | By this time, you should be through the queue and on the ‘information screen. Ensure your address is correct and click ‘continue to shipping’.
Jimmy Jazz offers FedEx 2 day shipping for $20. If you select a cheaper option here, but the shoes default to a higher rate once they release, your pre-cart will be reset and you’ll be pushed back to another queue. |
9:58 - 9:59 | Click on ‘continue to payment’ with your pre-cart item in cart and your pre-cart is done, you are now ready for the sneaker release. |
9:59 - 10:00 | Keep an eye on #checkpoint_monitor to see if the Jimmy Jazz hCaptcha checkpoint goes live. When you see it, start refreshing Tab1 that contains your dummy item until you receive the checkpoint. |
10:00 | Once you complete the checkpoint, go to Tab2 and start clicking your bookmark with the size link. The item won’t add to your cart before Jimmy Jazz releases the item. Once they release, they should appear in your cart in Tab2
Once the items are in your cart, switch to Tab1 and refresh. Now you should see your dummy item along with the shoes. When you see this, go ahead and input your credit card information and click ‘pay now’

Appendices
Appendix A: Nate in his example opened Tab3 and went to jimmyjazz.com/checkpoint. When there, you should see the hCaptcha. You can solve it in Tab3 and then go to Tab2, add the shoes to cart and refresh Tab1, then continue to payment. This is not necessary, but if you feel comfortable, feel free to do so.
Appendix B: The shoes will not appear in cart using the add to cart link until the shoes actually drop on Jimmy Jazz.
Appendix C: Keep an eye on the Jimmy Jazz monitor and the Jimmy Jazz new arrivals page in case the add to cart link does not work.
Below is an example of the Jimmy Jazz method.
